Washington, D.C., September 30, 2016 – On the 10th anniversary of the Sandy Trowbridge Award, the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) has awarded Dudek & Bock Spring Manufacturing Company of Chicago, Ill., with the honor. The Trowbridge Award honors an NAM member company that demonstrates exemplary leadership in serving its community or state and is a leading example of the nation’s manufacturers and businesses.

Dudek & Bock began as a family business in Chicago in 1946 and is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. It is a world-class manufacturer of springs, wire forms and light metal stampings and is recognized for its broad community engagement. Establishing Shanghai Dudek & Bock Spring Co., Ltd.
In 2012, Dudek & Bock formed a, Shanghai-based Joint Venture company with China Spring Company – the largest spring company in China.
In merging D & B’s unique engineering and manufacturing capabilities in 4-slide and CNC-produced wire-forms and counter-balance springs with China Springs established infrastructure, market positions and high level technical competencies, we hold a strong belief that this JV is well positioned to establish a market leader position in the supply of these products throughout the Chinese automotive industry – as well as for select other applications and industries – and in doing so will enable our core customers to capitalize on our global footprint in serving their needs throughout the world.
China Spring Company’s other highly specialized product expertise lies in suspension springs, valve springs and stabilizer bars for the automotive industry. They are a subsidiary of Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC), which is one of the leading vehicle, system and component producers in the Chinese automotive industry.
