Paychecks were mailed on Thursday, April 2. One employee has reported that he did not receive his check. Please e-mail Nancy Hopkins at nhopkins@dudek-bock.com if you did not receive your check. The next paychecks will be 100% direct deposit and should reach your banks by Friday, April 17.

BCBSIL Waives Member Cost-Sharing for COVID-19 Treatment

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois  is waiving member cost-sharing, including deductibles, co-payments and co-insurance, related to treatment for COVID-19. The waiver applies to costs associated with COVID-19 treatment at in-network facilities and treatment for out-of-network emergencies. This policy is for treatment received April 1 through May 31.

BCBS is also: Expanding access to telehealth coverage; Waiving preauthorization and members’ cost-sharing for testing to diagnose COVID-19;  Lifting restrictions on early prescription fills; Lifting cost-sharing for in-network medically necessary services delivered via telemedicine; Waiving prior authorization requirements for transfers to in-network, alternative post-acute facilities until April 30, 2020.

Coronavirus Response 3-31-2020

Dudek & Bock will be shut down starting Friday, April 3 through Sunday, April 12.
Employees will be paid during this period:
Friday, April 3: CV Response Act sick leave pay
Monday, April 6 – Thursday, April 9 : CV Response Act sick leave pay
Good Friday, April 10: Holiday pay

We will continue to work through this Thursday, April 2, to ship as much product as possible to stay ahead of our customers’ needs.

Tentatively, the plant will reopen on Monday, April 13.

Coronavirus Response 3-16-2020

The company wants you to be aware of what we are doing:

• Bathrooms, doorknobs, tables in the break room, and other hard surfaces are being cleaned more frequently.
• We are supplying hand sanitizer and anti-bacterial wipes, but we have recently had problems obtaining them as stores are sold out. Notify your supervisor if you need more. 70% rubbing alcohol can be used on hands if soap and water or hand sanitizer is not available. Surfaces can be disinfected with a bleach solution of 1/3 cup bleach to 1 gallon water.
• We are limiting meetings with outside parties, and will be asking visitors to state whether they have traveled outside the country within the past two weeks.

Things you can do:

• Do not come to work if you feel ill.
• Continue to follow call-in procedures (call your supervisor before or at the start of your shift.) This allows us to shift employees to hot jobs if necessary.
• If you are ill for 3 or more days (other than for COVID-19) you will not be required to bring a doctor’s note. Health clinics and doctor’s offices will be busy, so we want to ease the pressure on them.
• Return the form that will be given to you by your supervisor asking for your cell phone number and e-mail address. We may need this in the unlikely event we have a case of COVID-19 and have to shut down temporarily.
• Continue to use good hygiene: Wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or more; Cough into your elbow if you do not have a tissue; Try to maintain at least three feet and preferably six feet space from co-workers; Avoid shaking hands.
