BCBSIL Waives Member Cost-Sharing for COVID-19 Treatment

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois  is waiving member cost-sharing, including deductibles, co-payments and co-insurance, related to treatment for COVID-19. The waiver applies to costs associated with COVID-19 treatment at in-network facilities and treatment for out-of-network emergencies. This policy is for treatment received April 1 through May 31.

BCBS is also: Expanding access to telehealth coverage; Waiving preauthorization and members’ cost-sharing for testing to diagnose COVID-19;  Lifting restrictions on early prescription fills; Lifting cost-sharing for in-network medically necessary services delivered via telemedicine; Waiving prior authorization requirements for transfers to in-network, alternative post-acute facilities until April 30, 2020.

Coronavirus Response 3-31-2020

Dudek & Bock will be shut down starting Friday, April 3 through Sunday, April 12.
Employees will be paid during this period:
Friday, April 3: CV Response Act sick leave pay
Monday, April 6 – Thursday, April 9 : CV Response Act sick leave pay
Good Friday, April 10: Holiday pay

We will continue to work through this Thursday, April 2, to ship as much product as possible to stay ahead of our customers’ needs.

Tentatively, the plant will reopen on Monday, April 13.

Dudek & Bock Closed on April 3

Dudek & Bock will be closed, both shifts, on Friday, April 3. We will reopen for business on Monday, April 6. This week both shifts will be working 8 hours with little, if any, overtime.

Paychecks will be mailed to employees on Friday, for this week only. For the next pay period we need all employees to have signed up for Direct Deposit.

Federal Families First Coronavirus Response Act

The FFCRA provides new types of leave to employees of private employers with less than 500 employees, briefly described as follows:

    • Two weeks (up to 80 hours) of paid sick leave at the employee’s regular rate of pay where the employee is unable to work because the employee is quarantined (pursuant to federal, state, or local government order or advice of a health care provider), and/or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and seeking a medical diagnosis; or
    • Two weeks (up to 80 hours) of paid sick leave at 2/3 the employee’s regular rate of pay because the employee is unable to work because of a bona fide need to (1) care for an individual subject to quarantine (pursuant to federal, state, or local government order or advice of a health care provider), or (2) to care for a child (under 18 years of age) whose school or child care provider is closed or unavailable for reasons related to COVID-19, and/or (3) the employee is experiencing a substantially similar condition as specified by the Secretary of Health and Human Services, in consultation with the Secretaries of the Treasury and Labor; and
    • Up to an additional 10 weeks of paid expanded Family and Medical Leave Act (“FMLA”) leave at 2/3 the employee’s regular rate of pay where an employee, who has been employed for at least 30 calendar days, is unable to work due to a bona fide need for leave to care for a child whose school or child care provider is closed or unavailable for reasons related to COVID-19.
